About SinoInsight
SinoInsight is the China research & advisory practice of Nexysys Lab — independent, for companies outside China. We help overseas decision-makers read the China market and vet Chinese counterparties using only public data and our own analysis, delivered in your language under NDA.
What we stand for
We are not a marketplace, broker or reseller. We have no stake in the parties we research — our only client is you.
Built on public primary sources and our own analysis. We never scrape competitor databases, break CAPTCHAs, or republish third-party content.
Every engagement ends in a clear, sourced answer you can act on — not a data dump. English-first, in your language on request.
We work under NDA by default. Your questions, identity and data stay private.
How we work
Why our research is credible
We build from primary public sources — government statistics, official company filings, national standards, and US/EU/UN/UK restricted-party lists — and add our own analysis on top. Facts are facts; the judgement is ours. For data that sits behind paywalls or anti-bot walls (private-registry detail, court records), we use licensed feeds or commissioned local checks rather than scraping. See our Methodology for the full source list.
Methodology & Sources →Who we are
SinoInsight is a focused practice, not a large firm — you work directly with the person running your engagement. We pair international business judgement with native-Chinese-language primary research, including commissioned local checks for records that sit behind paywalls or anti-bot walls, so findings arrive already translated, contextualized and decision-ready for a non-China audience. We scope honestly to what we can source and stand behind — we would rather narrow a question than over-promise on it.
Representative engagements
Illustrative examples of the type of work we do — not specific past clients.
An overseas buyer needed to confirm a Chinese supplier's existence, capacity, ownership and clean legal/sanctions standing before committing to a six-figure order. Deliverable: a background-check memo with registry, ownership, financial health, restricted-party screening and red-flag assessment.
A consumer brand needed to know which Chinese provinces and channels actually carried demand for its category, and in what order to enter. Deliverable: a sized provincial map, competitor and channel survey, and a phased entry plan.
An exporter needed the regulatory path to sell a product into China — certification, tariffs, labeling and applicable standards. Deliverable: a step-by-step compliance roadmap with timelines and the gates that set them.
