The channel map
- Tmall / Tmall Global — the flagship-store and brand-trust channel; still essential for premium positioning and CBEC entry.
- JD — strength in electronics, appliances and logistics-sensitive categories; a more transactional shopper.
- Douyin (TikTok China) — content commerce; demand is created in-feed and via livestream, not searched for. High content cost, high velocity.
- Xiaohongshu (RED) — discovery and consideration; where premium and lifestyle brands are researched before purchase elsewhere.
